Bienvenida a Re: Rachell.
I've created this blog as a means to shape my own thinking and share my passions and thoughts with others. My heart is in education and advocating for bilingual learners.

My name is Rachell Anderson and I'm an Education Specialist with the Illinois Resource Center. I have worked in public education my whole life and my passion is rooted in bilingual education. I taught bilingual first grade for five years and dual language kindergarten for three. I was a bilingual director at the district level for three years. I have always been a take-charge kind of a person, so it's no surprise I got into leadership.
I have recently switched to a consulting/professional development organization where I can share my knowledge with others. I am learning so much in this role as I research and dig into things that I never made the time to do in my previous roles.
Re: Rachell is my new platform to expand on my learning and shape my thinking about various concepts. I have been thinking about blogging for awhile now, and I've finally taken steps to make it happen.
